Your comfort, enjoyment and safety are important to us, which is why at Pure Ocean we use only top-quality equipment maintained to the highest standards from the air that you breathe to the fins on your feet.
We use Aqualung Pro HD BCD’s with integrated weight pockets and easy-to-use inflator/deflator controls. For our younger divers we use Aqualung Wave BCD’s.
Our commitment to quality extends to our choice of Apeks regulators for rental. All our Apeks rental regulators are DIN fitting however tank adaptors are available for yoke fittings.
Our cylinders are Catalina Aluminium in the following sizes: 6 x 15 litres, 30 x 12 litres and 6 x 7 litres. Due to their popularity, if you require a 15 litre tank, pre-booking is advisable.
We fill our tanks using a brand new Coltri MCH26 compressor, capable of pumping out 4 tanks every 10 minutes filled with 200 bar/3000 psi of pure, South Pacific air.
We have chosen the Suunto Vyper dive computer, it’s a rugged and versatile, multi-mode dive computer with a proven history of excellence in diving.
Fins, Masks & Snorkels
Aqualung full-foot fins for adults plus Mares in child sizes. We have Aqualung and Look masks available for rent and Aqualung Zephyr snorkels with valve for ease of breathing.
We have two boats that we use for both diving and snorkeling trips.
A Cougar Catamaran built in Australia , Anne had an extreme makeover before coming into service at Pure Ocean Samoa. 30′ long and with twin 250HP Evinrude outboard engines on the stern to power her through the water, Anne has space for 15 divers or 20 snorkelers travelling in comfort. With a toilet and freshwater shower she is used for our longer trips such as Manono Island.
“Lady” in English, Tama’ita’i is the latest addition to the Pure Ocean fleet. Built in Fiji in 2013 she is 24′ long and is powered by a 115HP Suzuki outboard engine. Ideal for diving or snorkeling around the lagoon and on the edge of the reef she can comfortably handle 8 divers or 12 snorkelers.
