You’re walking down the street as someone gets knocked over by a speeding bike courier, you’re shopping at the supermarket and the person behind you at the checkout has a heart attack, you’re having dinner at your favourite restaurant and a guest at the next table starts choking; in each of these scenarios you can play a vital role in saving a life, all it takes is the first step!
You will learn the basic skills required to sustain life in an emergency situation including rescue breathing, CPR, dealing with spinal injuries and bleeding. The course takes one day and is a prerequisite for the PADI Rescue Diver course.
What will you learn?
Learn to administer first aid to divers and non-divers. You will start off by learning how to assess a potentially hazardous environment, before moving on to assessing the patient and providing 1 and 2 person CPR. You will also learn how to help someone who is seriously bleeding, what steps to take to assist with shock and the proper actions to take with a suspected spinal injury.

This course lets you stay dry, but you will still be exposed to a whole host of equipment including bandages, pocket masks, oxygen and Rescue Annie
