Opperer House
Experience an aquatic operatic ambience
Named after the former Samoa resident and avid diver Thomas Opperer, who first dropped onto the site. A soft coral garden begins at a ledge in around 7mtrs of water forming a stage that drops away down to the 40mtr mark. As you weave between the gently swaying corals there is definitely a strange, operatic ambience to the site especially when complemented now and then by distant whale song as they make their way past the islands on their long migration in late August and September.
