Gaining your PADI Open Water Diver qualification is a great achievement, it shows that you’ve mastered the skills to a level where you can dive with a buddy to a maximum depth of 18 metres. There are five theory and confined water training sessions where you’ll learn the basics of the equipment, breathing underwater, safety and buoyancy control. Four open water dives give you the chance to practice your skills in real diving situations under the watchful eye of a PADI dive professional while at the same time seeing for yourself the stunning aquatic world. Internationally recognized, this certification is your passport to the underwater world, all over the world!
What will you learn?
Learn the basics of scuba diving including equipment, safety and buoyancy control under the expert supervision of a PADI Professional. Once you are qualified you may rent equipment and dive with a buddy without supervision.
Maximum depth of 18 metres with a buddy but without supervision.
You must be at least 10 years old and be able to complete a basic medical history.
Become familiar with Scuba equipment and how to use it underwater, gain confidence in donning the equipment both in and out of the water.
Find out what it’s like to breathe underwater and how to use your breath to control your position in the water.
Breathing and swimming underwater, gaining confidence with your equipment and diving with a buddy.
Have fun swimming around and watching the fish and demonstrating your new skills on four open water dives to a maximum depth of 18 metres.
